Porter Named to State Superintendent's Advisory Council

Jackson County High School's Victoria Duarte Pirela and East Jackson High School's Duncan Porter were named to the State of Georgia Superintendent Richard Wood's Student Advisory Council. Duarte Pirela, a senior, and Porter, a sophomore, will work alongside students from throughout the state, as part of the council. Each year students throughout the state may apply to serve on the council. The application includes an essay where students share their view on public education.
