Eight JCSS Students Finish Inside Top Three in State Technology Competition

Eight JCSS Students Finish Inside Top Three in State Technology Competition

Eight Jackson County School System students finished inside the top three of their respective categories during Saturday's State Technology Competition. 

Peyton Borsa, of Gum Springs Elementary School, finished in third place in Internet Applications for the 3rd/4th Grade Division, while teammates Rhys Magness and Ethan Weaver, of North Jackson Elementary School, finished second in Digital Game Design for the 5th/6th Grade Division. GSES' Rithvicka Purushothaman finished in third place in Multimedia Applicants for the fifth and sixth grade division. 

At the high school level, East Jackson boasted two robotics teams inside the top three. The team of Duncan Porter and Jordan Welty finished second in the ninth and tenth grade division, while Dennis Cooper and Jacob Mayhue finished third in the eleventh and twelfth grade division.
