Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School of Excellence
East Jackson High School has been named a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School. EJHS joins East Jackson Elementary and Maysville Elementary as JCSS schools that have earned the highest honor bestowed by the organization. Parent/Student Square Communications
We are moving to ParentSquare as a classroom, school, and district mass communication platform. Families should have received an invitation last week via the email address associated with a\your student inside the Infinite Campus Parent Portal! Download the app today! (Note: you must have an active Infinite Campus portal account to connect in ParentSquare).
Senior Portrait Sessions
Senior Photo Sign Up is now live. Scan the QR code on social media or posted in the cafeteria. Contact Ms. Lawhorn with questions. The form closes August 7th.
Summer Learning
Make sure you have completed at least one activity to earn a summer learning badge. Visit the district Summer Learning page for more information. The deadline to submit your assignment to your 1st period teacher is August 23rd.
Cell Phone Policy
EJHS has a zero tolerance policy regarding cell phones and other non-JCSS digital devices. Please be sure to review the cell phone policy.
Student Parking
Students parking on campus must purchase and display a parking permit. The only designated area for student parking is in the rear of the school as shown in the map below. Please follow the steps outlined in the graphic to purchase your permit within the first 10 days of school.
EJ Beta Earns Praise
East Jackson Beta has been named a National Beta School of Merit and a National Beta School of Distinction after the 2023-2024 school year! The School of Merit Award is given to clubs that extend membership to all available grade levels; only 49% of the 9000 chapters of National Beta achieved this award. The National School of Distinction Award is given to clubs that have increased their membership by 10% or more and have attended a State, Regional, or National Beta convention or leadership summit. Only 22% of the 9,000 National Beta chapters received this award. During the 2023-24 school year, our EJHS Beta Club chapter added 49 members, competed at State and National Conventions, participated in two Regional Leadership Summits, and our members were able to maintain eligibility with a 92 or higher GPA and minimum of 30 service hours. Please help us celebrate this achievement and congratulate our club members for a job well done! Way to go EJHS BETA!
Required Vaccine
Students who are 16 years old or will be 16 over the summer and in the 11th grade MUST HAVE the MVC4/Meningitis booster vaccine. Please make sure your student has their vaccine if they are eligible.

Free/Reduced Lunch

Bus Riders from EJHS to Empower
Students opting to ride the bus from EJHS to Empower for morning classes should be sure to arrive on time to catch the AM Empower bus, which leaves our campus promptly at 7:45 each morning. Students who arrive late and miss the bus must report to the media center for a tardy pass. Students are reminded that multiple tardies result in disciplinary action.
Need Infinite Campus/Canvas Support?
Students and parents in need of Infinite Campus assistance should first try resetting passwords on your own with the help of this video guide: Reset Your Infinite Campus Password. If you are unable to change passwords or login, please complete the Infinite Campus Support Form for assistance and check your email within a couple of days for a resolution.

Bus rider information for the 2024-25 school year is now available. Please visit www.jacksonschoolsga.org/busroutes. You can also keep track of your student's location while on the bus with the Here Comes the Bus App.
Linq Connect for Lunch Account Payments
Pay at LINQ Connect
- Breakfast costs $1.45 in the elementary schools and $1.55 in the middle and high schools.
- Lunch costs $2.10 in the elementary schools and $2.60 in the middle and high schools.
- Adults can eat with their children at $2.75 for breakfast or $3.75 for lunch.
SchoolPay for All Other Payment Transactions
SchoolPay is the only way to complete transactions related to school services, including fundraisers, club dues, and dance tickets this year. We will be limiting cash and check transactions moving forward.

Play Cards for the Public Library
EJCHS Students:
Did you know your JCSS student ID can be used to sign up for a PLAY CARD with our local public library? PLAY CARDS can be used to access a number of resources and provide other benefits. Please see the attached flyers to learn more!
