Open House
It is never too early to start preparing for Back to School! The Jackson County School System is happy to announce the 2024-25 Open House dates and times. The first day of the 2024-25 school year is Thursday, Aug. 1!

EJHS School Supplies List
Students are encouraged to obtain the following list of general school supplies. Specific classroom supplies will vary by class and will be communicated by the classroom teachers at Open House on Monday, July 29, 2024.
Student Schedules
Student schedules are now live on Infinite Campus. You can view your schedule by logging into your Infinite Campus account and clicking the menu at the top, left-corner of your screen, and then selecting schedule. Watch this quick video for assistance viewing your schedule. Community Kickoff
Join the Jackson County School System for a Back-to-School Community Kickoff Event on Friday, August 9th at 4:30 p.m. Families can enjoy fun games and food trucks before the preseason football scrimmage between East Jackson High School at Jackson County High School.
Food Drive Competition
It is a Community Food Drive Competition between East Jackson High School and Jackson County High School! Food donations will be accepted at both high schools from now until our Eagles square off against the Panthers on Aug. 9 in the preseason football scrimmage. The winning school will be announced during the game! All donations will benefit the Jackson County community! Donations must be of non-perishable food items!
Drop Off Details:
EJHS Food Drive summer donations: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 to 3 p.m. at the EJHS Front Office.
Required Vaccine
Students who are 16 years old or will be 16 over the summer and in the 11th grade MUST HAVE the MVC4/Meningitis booster vaccine. Please make sure your student has their vaccine if they are eligible.
SUMMER ANNOUNCEMENTS
AP Summer Assignments
Students enrolled in 1st Semester AP courses will complete supplemental assignments before returning to school in August. Students enrolled in 2nd Semester AP courses will complete supplemental assignments before courses begin in January.

Summer Learning
The Jackson County School System is dedicated to ensuring students have ample educational resources available for them during the summer months. Our EJCHS students are expected to participate in at least one summer learning experience this summer. Read more and access resources on our district Summer Learning page.
Pickleball Fundraiser
Please join us on July 27th for the 1st Annual Pickleball Tournament, a fundraiser for our EJ basketball and tennis teams! The tournament will be mixed doubles for ages 16 and over and an entry fee of $80 per team! You must register by July 13th to be guaranteed a t-shirt!

Summer Feeding
The Jackson County School System will be hosting summer feeding locations throughout the county this summer. Visit www.jacksonschoolsga.org/summerfeeding for information on locations, dates and times.
EJCHS Summer School
➢ WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
1. Students who have previously failed a course in the 60-69% range.
If the grade was between a 60-69, the student can do summer school to improve the grade to a 70. The student will complete up to half of the course over again.
2. Students who are currently enrolled in an online course and will need an extension to finish the course.
➢ WHAT COURSES WILL BE OFFERED?
Core content courses including Spanish (Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Spanish). Honors and AP courses will not be offered. All courses will be on level.
➢ NEXT STEPS?
1. Summer School is 2 weeks long and students must come to campus.
Students will be required to come to campus until their course is complete Monday-Thursday. Students are more successful coming to campus due to the increased support our staff can provide.
■ June 3-6: 8-11:30 am
■ June 10-13: 8-11:30 am
Once a student completes their course, there is no need to continue to attend.
Students must finish all coursework by June 13th at 11:30am.
Courses not completed by this time will need to be retaken next school year in person, in the classroom setting.
2. Summer School courses utilize a structured online platform with support from content teachers on campus.

2. Transportation to and from campus can be provided but must be requested in advance.

- Breakfast costs $1.45 in the elementary schools and $1.55 in the middle and high schools.
- Lunch costs $2.10 in the elementary schools and $2.60 in the middle and high schools.
- Adults can eat with their children at $2.75 for breakfast or $3.75 for lunch.
SchoolPay for All Other Payment Transactions
SchoolPay is the only way to complete transactions related to school services, including fundraisers, club dues, and dance tickets this year. We will be limiting cash and check transactions moving forward.
